About our learning collaborative
As we navigate the ever-changing landscape of education, many of us have been seeking alternative learning options. The vision for this learning community grew out of a combination of researched best practices and approaches to student centered and nature inspired learning, including programs like the Agile Learning Centers Education Model, Montessori, Waldorf, and Acton Academy.

The goal of our learning collaborative is to create an environment that supports children's overall wellness, and is engaging, and fun. Learning in our program is interactive, as well as being relatable to real life. Through personalized, hands-on learning, we inspire curiosity, foster resilience, and encourage collaboration, empowering each child to reach their full potential and thrive in a diverse and interconnected world.

We seek to partner with forward thinking parents, who are invested in their children's overall growth, and in helping to develop a strong, positive, community support network. Our program is best suited for children who benefit from relationship based instruction, small groups, an encouraging and cooperative peer community, flexibility in learning styles, and a strength based view of children. We are thrilled to have the opportunity to create such a place.

Our Latest News

We are so excited to share that The Academy Science Center has graciously agreed to partner with The Children's Wellness Learning Collaborative so that we may be housed at The Science Center. As the center's website describes, this historic building was part of the East Greenwich Academy, which was founded in 1802 and was often referred to as 'the heart of East Greenwich". The building offers 2 large meeting rooms, a smaller study area, and is situated on Academy Field, offering ample space for outdoor seating, exploration, and within walking distance to the EG Library, Varnum House Gardens, and Main Street. It a perfect location for our collaborative.
